Letter to the Canadian Embassy

For the Embassy;

Greetings, my name is Kristhian Almaraz Robles, I'm 32 years old, father of four and full-time employee, I live with my family in Queretaro City, Qro. I am writing to you because I have the interest to enroll in the "Ingeniero en Desarrollo de Software" program that you are offering at the UnADM.

Since middle school I was interested in math, logic and computers. So, when I was 21 years old, I enrolled in the "Ingenieria en Software" program at the Universidad Autonoma de Queretaro; unfortunately, I was forced to quit due financial and personal issues. However, I can assure you that neither lack of intellectual capabilities nor apathy were reasons for my withdrawal from college.

I have been learning discrete mathematics, differential calculus, linear algebra and programming as autodidact since the last 5 year(s). However, I have realized that I need a more formal education in order to achieve my personal goals and provide better opportunities for me and my family.

My previous experience with college has made me realize that, as a working father, I need a more flexible scheme to complete my education, such as virtual education. I've conscientiously reviewed many on-line programs and courses and I've come to the conclusion that your "Ingeniero en Desarrollo de Software" program is the best option for me. I'm very interested to learn about funtional programming and mathematics and OS . Moreover, I'm sure that I am a excellent fit for your program: I have experience with on-line courses, I am very interested in computer science, I am hard working and efficient, I am a highly driven person, plus I have previous college experience in the area.

Finally I strongly believe that Mexico needs professionals in the technology field who can compete with professionals around the world in a globalized scenario; in order to achieve this, Mexico needs institutions like yours who are willing to provide high quality education to people, like myself, that are unable to attend traditional programs. If I get the privilege of admission to this program I will gladly promote the recognition of your institution and the growth of online education as option for people seeking for high quality education.

Respectfully,

Kristhian Almaraz Robles
